After that, rinse the injured person’s mouth with warm water and attempt to stop any bleeding. Apply a clean gauze or cloth to the area and apply pressure. If the bleeding doesn’t stop after 10 minutes, then call our dental team or go to the hospital.

Rinse the injured person’s mouth with warm water. Then, attempt to stop any bleeding by applying a clean gauze to the area and applying firm pressure. If the bleeding doesn’t stop after 10 minutes, call our dental team right away or go to the hospital emergency room.
Where possible, try to replace the tooth into the gum socket. Do not push too firmly; instead, gently place some pressure. If you cannot replace it, then rinse the tooth in warm water. After that, place it in a small container and cover it with milk, water, and a pinch of salt.
When you lose a crown or a filling, we rarely need to see you the same day. Therefore, please schedule an appointment with us. Before your visit, follow these steps:
- Fillings: If you find the filling, place it in a clean container and bring it with you to your appointment.
- Crowns: If you find the crown, give it a good clean and line the inside with toothpaste or dental adhesive. You can then attempt to replace it or keep it safe in a container.
If you are suffering from a severe toothache, first inspect the tooth and clean the area. Use floss to remove any debris and also check the gum line. However, if the pain persists, please call our Hadlock dentist immediately at (360) 385-4373.
